Organziational Health Inc. (OHI) is an independent health management company providing solutions focused on health, recovery and well-being. OHI has been providing these health and disability solutions to employers, unions, and other insurance carriers in Canada since its incorporation in 1998.
OHI's programs include workers' compensation, disability case management, consulting services, absentee management services, and employee and family assistance programs, the overview of which appears below.
OHI services specifically include:
- Illness and injury management
- Counselling services for families and employees
- Health promotion - incorporating health and wellness into the corporate environment
- Technological services, including custom-design of a web application that will record and keep track of all illness and injury data for the employer/organization
- Claim audits and process reviews
- Individual coaching and leadership training
- Immunization clinics
- Ergonomic assessments
- Off-site occupational nurses
Professional, trained staff are accessible daily for intake calls; as well as after-hours and on weekends, 24 hours a day, seven days per week. OHI's main office is located in Edmonton, Alberta. Affiliate service providers are available Canada-wide as well as in some states.

Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EFAP): an Overview
- Psychological Counselling:
This includes counselling for personal and emotional issues, marital/relationship issues, family and parenting, childcare, eldercare, occupational stress, grief, gambling, addiction, health and disability issues, interpersonal conflict, anxiety and depression, crisis and trauma, and mediation.
- Legal Counselling:
Such services are available in situations where stress or trauma has affected one's ability to work, and includes counselling in the areas of real estate, separation and divorce, bankruptcy, motor vehicle accident, wills and trusts.
- Financial Counselling:
This OHI service includes counselling sessions of up to three hours, conducted over the phone or in person, with a certified CCA or CGA accountant, covering areas such as: credit and debt management, financial planning, bankruptcy, savings plans, insurance plans, and disability income management.
- Trauma Response Service:
This service would provide assistance in such events as: robbery, accidental death, murder, suicide, hostage taking, violence, or attempted violence.
- Wellness Seminars:
These may include OHI-lead seminars covering items such as: health and wellness in the workplace, self esteem building, stress management, effective management skills, and feedback sessions.
- Orientation Sessions:
Included in program.
- Communication Services:
OHI can provide materials for inclusion in various publications, brochures, business cards, and inserts at no charge. Names and logos may also be included at cost.
Financial Information: OHI rates per member are generally dependent on group size and utilization, and guaranteed one year from the date of contract start. Renewal rates are generally based on the same criteria.
